The Hangzhou robotics map lists 25 companies, 2 focused on humanoid robots (Unitree, Westlake Robotics).
Though equal to Shanghai in count, Hangzhou's ecosystem is denser: 10 companies in Binjiang, 7 within 10 km of Zhejiang University. Machine vision (Hikrobot, Dahua), mobile robots (LinX, Gausium), quadrupeds (Unitree, DEEP Robotics) and smart manufacturing form a tight cluster alongside DAMO Academy and Qiushi Lab.
The author's takeaway: Hangzhou's edge is productization speed.
