Meta Muse hits 73% Day-1 retention, double ChatGPT, but fades by Day 14

Sensor Tower data (Sept 2026, 81 countries, iOS+Android) shows Meta's Muse retains 73.3% of new users on Day 1 — nearly double ChatGPT's 41.3%. But Muse loses users fast: ChatGPT overtakes it between Day 8 and 9. At Day 14, Muse sits at 22.5% vs ChatGPT 26.8%, Threads 21.2%, Grok Bot 10.4%, and Google Maps 18.5%. Still, Muse ranks among the highest-retaining AI products, with D7 retention above 30%, though far from elite consumer apps like YouTube (59%) or Instagram (54%).
