Free Minecraft mod lets Claude Code build castles in-game — 34k blocks in ~15 minutes
DutyOnly4308 · reddit · 2026-10-12
An indie developer released a free Minecraft mod that hooks Claude Code into the game: press K, describe what you want (e.g. a medieval castle with a moat), and Claude builds it in your world while you keep playing, with one-click undo.
- How it works: the mod launches your own local Claude Code and builds via 20 tools running inside Minecraft — nothing goes through the author's servers, no account needed.
- Requirements: Claude Pro/Max subscription with Claude Code installed, Minecraft Java, Java 25; works with Fabric/Forge/NeoForge.
- Status: beta; the author's biggest timed build was a 34,000-block castle in about 15 minutes.
The mod itself was built heavily with Claude Code for coding, tests, and debugging.
