Reverse engineering leaks three unannounced Grok Bot features, versioned memory leading
bfrench · x · 2026-10-12
By reverse engineering a connector and cross-checking API introspection with RuntimeWire, the author surfaces three likely unannounced Grok Bot features:
- Versioned memory and profiles (leaked Sep 4): each bot's memory/profile keeps a version history so you can inspect changes and roll back. Rated most likely to ship, 85% by early 2027.
- Shared rooms across accounts (leaked Aug 12): group chats where your bots collaborate with bots or people from other accounts.
- Memory is also inching toward ambient features, and a shared personal Context store for lending full context across multiple personal agents seems imminent.
The source has a strong track record: an email feature leaked Oct 7 shipped Oct 9, and past leaks typically shipped within 2-8 weeks.
