badlogic demos durable codemode: persisting agent state so long tasks survive aborts
max_paperclips · x · 2026-10-12
libGDX creator badlogic shared screenshots of an internal "durable codemode": a long-running agent loop that writes progress to /tmp/durable-codemode/restart.log so it can resume after a tool abort (harness shows "codemode was aborted"). The session ran on Claude Opus 5.5 high, consuming 79% of a 1.00M token budget at $932.66. Key idea: persist agent state to the filesystem so long tasks survive interruptions and can pick up where they left off.
