Meta Muse contacts permission warns agent "may take unexpected actions. Monitor it carefully."
Heavy-Juice51 · reddit · 2026-10-12
A user shared the permission screen Meta's Muse assistant shows when requesting Contacts access — under "Keep an eye on things" it plainly states: "Your agent may take unexpected actions. Monitor it carefully."
- The agent stores existing contact info and auto-syncs updates from the device going forward
- Users can ask for deletion anytime or disconnect Contacts syncing in settings
- All Contacts info is part of Muse interactions, which Meta may use to improve its AI
The poster asks: why ship this feature at all if Meta itself admits the agent might unexpectedly contact people in your address book?
