According to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal, Amazon is in talks to acquire AI startup Decart in a deal that could value it at around $7B. Notably, Anthropic had decided against acquiring Decart for roughly $6B in September.
Decart focuses on real-time AI video generation and understanding. If the deal closes, its valuation would have climbed past Anthropic's $6B offer within months.
