Google DeepMind released SynthID Bio, a watermark embedded in the amino acid sequence of AI-designed proteins. Wet-lab company Adaptyv Bio validated the proteins in its lab, and the experimental results are now publicly viewable on Proteinbase.
It marks a step from paper to verifiable public data for AI-generated biological sequence watermarking, providing real infrastructure for provenance of AI4Science outputs.
