Responding to optimism about AI-assisted scam protection, Quintin Pope argues the arms race between AI scamming and scam prevention will likely end in defense winning, since prevention mostly means consistently verifying the provenance of communications. But with both sides accelerating, slow adopters will remain vulnerable during the transition.
