Non-coder builds two live collection-tracker sites with Claude Code for $7/month
itsrobbiej · reddit · 2026-10-12
A Magic: The Gathering collector who doesn't code has used Claude Code since July to build two live, ad-free sites: tcg.brothermo.com (MTG, Lorcana and Pokémon checklists, daily prices, price charts) and vgc.brothermo.com (retro game collections with condition tracking). Letting Claude suggest improvements produced a pre-deploy smoke-test suite, offline support, nightly NAS backups, rate limiting, three security reviews, and an admin dashboard with daily email digests. His workflow: specs in plain English, he makes every decision, changes tested on preview copies, he runs server commands himself. Cost: $6–7/month Hetzner + $11/year domain, Flask + SQLite + free card data. About 20 users so far.
