ChatGPT Computer Use works in chat but fails when launched via the Dot device

A Windows user reports that ChatGPT's Computer Use (with Control → Any App enabled) opens Chrome fine in a Work chat after an "Always Allow" prompt, but the same action fails when initiated via the Dot: it returns "Browser is not available: chrome" even though the PC shows connected and authorized. New tasks fail identically.
They're trying to shop by voice from their phone with the PC executing, and are asking whether Dot-launched tasks have a separate permission layer or whether this is a current limitation.
