According to Variety, two generative AI-produced series from Ex Machina Studios — Space Nation and Kira — will premiere their finished pilot episodes for buyers at Mipcom in Cannes on Oct 12-13. The studio and sales company K5 Intl. say these are, to their knowledge, the first fully produced AI-generated series episodes (not concept reels) screened at a major international market.
- Space Nation: eight 45-minute episodes, written by Vanessa Coifman, directed by Martin Weisz, co-produced with Globoplay
- Kira: a French production of six 35-minute episodes by directors Damien Steck and Julien Petit
The author's advice: write your episode outline and season arc before generating a single shot — buyers will judge the story.
