A chart shared on Reddit tallies AI-solved problems from Paul Erdős's famous open-problems list: zero through all of 2025, 28 by June 2026, then a jump to 372 problem families after OpenAI's Oct 6 release of results from its unreleased model (719 manuscripts organized into 372 families, 42% computer-checked, per github.com/openai/math). Each problem took 3 hours of thinking; the model reportedly didn't exist before end of August. Human count based on Terence Tao's independent tracker, which stopped updating June 30, 2026.
