Indie Mac app Homy hits 100 customers in 30 hours after $9 launch

Indie hacker @hiimohit shares that three years after starting out—when his first product made just $400 in three months—his new Mac file manager Homy crossed 100 paying customers within 30 hours of launch.
Homy, positioned as a Finder alternative, is priced at $9 early-bird (normally $29). Key features:
- Large thumbnails organized into shelves by file type instead of filename lists
- Natural-language search: queries like "pdfs from last week over 5 mb" become visible filter chips for type, date, size and source
- Uses Apple's Vision framework to read text inside screenshots and images, so you can search for things like a Wi-Fi password in a screenshot
A solid cold-start case study for low-priced indie developer tools.
