AI apps vs Excel: the last 10% of edge cases will be hell, argues dev

Reacting to Brandon Thomas's effort to build Excel-compatible AI replacements, PTrubey says he predicted Microsoft/Excel would be targeted next, praises the attempt to break the enshittified business model, but warns most AI apps remain far from replacing what they intend to — the last 10% of edge cases will be brutal. He also asks how many people will even use apps once AI agents act directly for us.
