BYD humanoid robot design patent revealed, formal debut still pending

China's IP office has published BYD's design patent for a bipedal humanoid robot with articulated fingers, human-like proportions, and intended uses in service, education and industrial settings. The patent covers appearance only; BYD had promised an August debut at its Di Space exhibition but has yet to formally unveil the product.
