Manus raises over $500M led by Boyu and IDG after Meta's $2B acquisition fell through

Butterfly Effect, parent of Chinese AI agent startup Manus, raised over $500M in its first round since Meta's $2B acquisition was called off. Boyu Capital and IDG Capital led, with Tencent, HSG and ZhenFund participating. Valuation undisclosed, though Manus was reportedly in talks at $4B. The company had relocated to Singapore in mid-2025 and claimed $100M+ ARR at acquisition time.
