Hugging Face turns OpenAI's math problems into open-source Lean4 RL environments

HF CEO Clement Delangue announced FineEnvs/openai-math on Hugging Face: OpenAI's math problems converted into open-source RL environments. Each task requires a Lean 4 + Mathlib proof, graded by Lean FRO's Comparator in a sandboxed machine (reward 1 or 0, no partial credit, no internet). Early and rough — the verifier only accepts the exact original formalization — but the vision is turning open research into executable training infrastructure anyone can build on to train better open models.
