OpenMed 3.0: Apache-2.0 clinical AI that runs fully local and never falls back to the cloud
dark-night-rises · reddit · 2026-10-11
OpenMed 3.0 ships Patient Journey, stitching clinic notes, FHIR feeds, HL7 messages, lab CSVs and imaging reports into one per-patient timeline entirely on local hardware across 2,200+ models (Transformers/ONNX/GGUF/WebGPU). Its philosophy is refusing to guess: 99% identity matches still get human review, conflicting diagnoses are both kept, corrected lab values preserve originals, and it never silently falls back to a cloud API. Demo runs fully offline (0.07s). 3.1 is being built in the open with 422 issues and 30 good first issues.
