WIRED tries Google Playground: three playable AI-generated games in one day
nordicinst · x · 2026-10-11
WIRED tested Google Labs' newly launched Playground, a vibe-coding service for video games similar to Meta's Horizon Create. Users describe a game in plain language and get a working browser version, tweakable conversationally, with optional photo/video/3D asset uploads. The author, with no game dev experience, built three playable but objectively bad games in a day—impressively easy workflow, but quality remains "mining slop for gold."
