Dev builds frame-anomaly analyser, finds SD 2.5 stutter clearly better than SD 2
TomLikesRobots · x · 2026-10-11
Responding to complaints about frame stutter in Seedance 2.0 (visible duplicate or dropped frames, worst on vehicular motion), TomLikesRobots shares his Video Motion Curve & Anomaly Analyser, a browser-based tool:
- Drop a folder of extracted PNG/JPG frames in to detect motion cadence issues, low-motion/duplicate frames, and temporal spikes; MP4/WebM gets a quick preview
- The bottom bar chart shows frame-to-frame change: it should be smooth and regular, while SD 2 shows anomalous spikes from duplicated frames
- His testing: SD 2.5 is generally far better than SD 2 on frame stutter, though style, subject and motion speed also matter
The tool runs entirely in-browser and ships with a demo sequence simulating motion anomalies.
