ArXiv caps submissions at two per month as AI paper flood overwhelms server

arXiv will cap submissions at two per person per month starting October 2026. Monthly submissions have doubled in two years, with the cs.AI category growing more than sixfold, as a small fraction of authors flood the platform with low-quality papers and overwhelm volunteer moderators.
