Leak: OpenAI compute-constrained while Anthropic scales limits via SpaceX Colossus
mark_k · x · 2026-10-11
Blogger markk reports (unverified): OpenAI's inability to offload inference compute to SpaceX is starting to seriously hurt it.
- Anthropic has reportedly been able to use SpaceX's Colossus, and since doing so has raised user usage limits without issues
- OpenAI, by contrast, is very compute-limited right now
If true, SpaceX compute has become a key variable in frontier lab competition, leaving OpenAI at a supply disadvantage.
