Reddit user exposes r/AIdaily_news as a bot-run anti-AI sub posing as an AI news sub
Dogbold · reddit · 2026-10-11
A Reddit user warns others to avoid r/AIdailynews, claiming it poses as an AI news sub but is actually an anti-AI channel:
- Nearly all posts come from a handful of mod accounts that never reply to comments and appear to be bots
- The mods are active nowhere else on Reddit
- Content is uniformly negative ("Nvidia CEO said ", "Musk says AI taking jobs is good"), with virtually no positive AI news
- Some mod accounts flip between anti- and pro-AI stances, a telltale bot signature
- The author was permanently banned after pointing out the sub's true nature, with no modmail response
The poster urges people not to feed it traffic.
