Glovebox launches: open-source tool runs Half-Life: Alyx standalone on Vision Pro
banteg · x · 2026-10-11
Glovebox, an open-source tool, is now live, letting Apple Vision Pro run Half-Life: Alyx natively — no PC, no streaming, no cables.
- Open source on GitHub, with a guided setup from any Mac
- Requirements: Vision Pro (M2 or M5), PS VR2 controllers, a Mac (install only), and a copy of Alyx on Steam
- No $99 Apple developer account needed — a free Apple Account works
- Steam saves carry over automatically
A notable community workaround for Vision Pro's thin native VR gaming ecosystem.
