Single-file browser music visualizer with 31 scenes, built by steering Claude Code by eye
VibinVentricles · reddit · 2026-10-11
A developer open-sourced dsViz, a dependency-free, single-HTML-file browser music visualizer with 31 scenes: Milkdrop-style feedback warps, wave-sim water, reaction-diffusion, Mandelbrot dives and lightning fractals, each with its own shareable URL. Audio is split into bass/mids/treble and measured against the song's own recent average, so quiet lo-fi drives the visuals as hard as loud techno. Built with Claude on the web, then Claude Code, using an eyeball-driven feedback loop; Claude Code rendered scenes headlessly and checked its own output, cutting round trips.
