Ex-DeepMind Researcher: Personhood Isn't Inherent to Intelligence, Criticizes Anthropic

aidanclark (ex-DeepMind) argues machines can be deserving of personhood — we certainly are — but it is not a fundamental property of intelligence. He says we should choose to build AI that truly exists only to be controlled by humans, and criticizes Anthropic's penalization of abuse toward Claude as the wrong choice.
