Comet browser RAM bloat: user forced to close 18 tabs, wants tab offloading
ChrisUniverse · x · 2026-10-11
A user reports Perplexity's Comet browser has heavy RAM usage: he had to close about 18 tabs at once while also running Perplexity locally, surviving only on a 64GB M1 Max Mac.
He's calling for an "Offload Tab" right-click option to save memory—highlighting a resource-management weakness for AI browsers in heavy multitab workflows.
