Developer says Godot rejected his 19 engine patches solely because he used AI

Open source developer Jamon Holmgren says he has 19 patches for the Godot engine improving performance and stability, fixing bugs, adding much better HOTAS support, and optional instrumentation/profiling — but Godot won't take them because he used AI to write them.
He argues the patches are high quality, not slop, and wonders how many quality engine patches are sitting unpublished due to such policies. The friction of rewriting them by hand is high enough that he'd rather leave the issues for Godot to fix itself.
