Dev builds open-source karaoke app entirely through Claude Code chats
nivijah · reddit · 2026-10-11
A developer released Karaoke Night, a free open-source app (GitHub: NiviJah/Karaoke-night) that runs on a networked computer, plays local MP3+CDG files and karaoke videos, and lets guests scan a QR code to queue songs from their phones — no app, account, or internet needed. Phones buzz when it's your turn.
The notable part: it was built entirely by chatting with Claude in Claude Code — Claude wrote the code, tested with simulated phones, fixed issues on Mac and Windows, and even made the demo video.
