Phishing email spoofs xAI via developer console team names, warns engineer
sebmarkbage · x · 2026-10-11
Sebastian Markbage amplified a warning about a "X Founders Private Program" phishing email that appears to come from @xai. The trick: the email genuinely originates from xAI's system ([email protected]) because the scammer created a team in the xAI developer console and embedded the team name in the message, bypassing domain verification. Recipients are advised not to click the link.
