The author notes iOS 27 added a per-app notification trigger in Shortcuts: pick a source app once, and the notification's title and body go to your app intent, running even while the phone is locked. Verified over two weeks on an iPhone 16 Pro with WhatsApp and Signal, he parsed a 2,471-message WhatsApp chat export locally, enabling a personal agent (Molebot) where model, memory, and index all stay on the phone.
Limits: no access to the other app's database, nothing when notifications are muted, previews can be truncated, outgoing messages invisible.
Privacy rule: "never add a new witness" — data already at Google is read from the phone with the user's token; cross-app links the agent derives stay on-device; a remote model is a named per-task exception with a preview of what leaves.
