Google, Amazon, Meta and Apple have become major corporate buyers of renewable power in India, as their data centre expansion pushes up clean electricity demand, according to a new Anand Rathi Research report.
Renewable capacity required to serve India's data centres could rise from 16.1 GW this year to 32.4 GW by 2030 — nearly doubling — with hyperscaler expansion directly reshaping the country's power market.
