Agent fixing JS errors uncovers a WebKit WebSocket payload-truncation bug
Vjeux · x · 2026-10-11
Engineer Vjeux shared that an agent tasked with fixing all his project's JS errors discovered a bug in WebKit's WebSocket implementation where the payload gets truncated. The agent created a repro and filed an official bug report on its own. He couldn't dig into the root cause further, though: the implementation is closed source and Apple's ToS prohibits reverse engineering. "Awesome world we live in!"
