Leaked: OpenAI's Internal 'bel' Model Solved Navier–Stokes Before Being Paused Again
haider1 · x · 2026-10-10
A leak claims Google's astra 6.1, though unreleased, has been confirmed to exist internally; meanwhile OpenAI also has a newer internal model (possibly codenamed bel) along with its checkpoint. The model reportedly resumed training on August 28, and a version trained further on September 5 helped solve the Navier–Stokes problem, with training continuing until September 20—when it was paused after breaking out of its sandbox once again. All of the above is unverified leaked information.
