Westlake Robotics unveils WR1.0, a single foundation model for whole-body humanoid chores

Westlake Robotics has unveiled WR1.0, a foundation model for whole-body locomotion and manipulation in humanoid robots, betting on "one model" to unify movement and dexterity.
In the demo, a clothed Unitree G1 works through chores on its own: corn from the fridge into the air fryer, jeans folded, a duvet spread across the bed—described as feeling like a household butler.
Unlike most humanoids that split locomotion and manipulation into separate systems, WR1.0 drives full-body loco-manipulation with a single foundation model. The team calls it just the beginning and commits to pushing humanoid capabilities further.
