100 Builders Hack Inside a Moving Kochi Metro Train in World-First AI Sprint
paw_lean · x · 2026-10-10
The OpenAI Codex community ran "Codex Nightline," billed as the world's first AI build sprint inside a moving metro system: on July 18, 100 solo builders took over an after-hours Kochi Metro train for a two-hour coding sprint with Codex. The route itself served as the timer — the train looped from Vyttila through Aluva and Thrippunithura while participants built onboard from 11 PM to 1 AM, followed by demos, judging and winners announced by 4:15 AM. Tracks covered urban mobility, civic tools, everyday productivity, and local business/creator tools. Codex Ambassador lead Pauline (@pawlean) gave an interview about the community's origins, and a team member revealed they will soon recruit more ambassadors.
