VibeOffice: an open-source Office 2003-style suite vibe-coded for $1,000
karminski3 · x · 2026-10-10
- A V2EX-shared project called VibeOffice was vibe-coded for roughly $1,000 and even supports VLOOKUP in its spreadsheet.
- It's open source (Apache-2.0) with three components: Quire (word processor), Ledger (spreadsheet), and Lectern (presentations), styled after classic Office 2003.
- It opens and saves real .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx files compatible with Microsoft Office and LibreOffice — no install, no account, no server; files never leave your computer. Try it at vibeoffice.work.
