Dogs Hit Their Own Singularity 20,000 Years Ago — and a Billion Dogs Now Never Need to Work
inductionheads · x · 2026-10-10
A widely shared analogy: dogs stumbled into their equivalent of artificial superintelligence 20,000 years ago — living in a world they can't understand, cared for by entities whose thoughts they can't fathom.
The result: about a billion dogs on Earth today, mostly happy, almost none needing to work. "It worked out pretty well for them" — a popular humorous take on what a post-Singularity future might look like for humans.
