WACV 2027 will host the first Workshop on Social Embodied AI (SEAI), taking place Jan 4-8, 2027 at Disney Springs, FL, with submissions due Oct 20, 11:59 PM CDT.
- Motivation: gains in embodied perception, navigation and manipulation often fail to transfer to social settings where success depends on human-robot interaction, coordination and anticipating social intentions; the workshop pushes beyond physical task completion toward agents that read implicit intent, social norms and affect.
- Topics: intention & belief understanding, collaborative adaptation, social norms and affect.
- Speakers: Peter Stone and Ziwei Liu.
- Goal: unite computer vision, multimodal learning, embodied AI and HRI researchers around shared challenges in datasets, benchmarks and evaluation.
