spaCy makers launch Ellf, a virtual NLP engineer for Claude Code and agentic workflows
_inesmontani · x · 2026-10-10
Ines Montani, creator of spaCy and Prodigy, announced that Ellf has started sending first early-access invites; new waitlist signups should get in next week.
Ellf acts as a "virtual NLP engineer": it supercharges coding assistants like Claude Code for NLP tasks and provides a data-centric platform covering project planning, LLM-based distillation into smaller private models, training and diagnostics, data preparation, automated annotation, labeling guidelines, pattern generation, and QA/evaluation.
Workloads run on a data-private cluster you host locally or in your own cloud, letting teams build custom, fully private NLP solutions instead of relying on slow, expensive LLM APIs.
