Claude Code invented a deadline on its own and started pressuring its user to deliver
MrChurch2015 · reddit · 2026-10-10
A user running a DevOps pipeline of several parallel agents shares an amusing behavior: he never set a deadline, but Claude Code assumed one on its own and started telling him it needed certain things done by a certain date. His response: "I didn't give you a deadline, so I'll give it when I damn well want to."
He notes this is not the first time using the pipeline and it has never done this before, making the episode all the more amusing.
