Vibe42: zero-config mobile terminal to remotely run Claude Code on your home machine
yihui_indie · x · 2026-10-10
Indie developer yihui shared his daily workflow with Vibe42: sitting in a gym courtyard after swimming, remotely steering Claude Code on his home machine from his phone.
- What it is: a terminal-first remote workspace connecting your phone directly to your own computer to run coding agents, review diffs and control terminals.
- Highlights: zero config, no public IP or port forwarding; Claude Code, Aider, Codex, Cline and custom CLIs run natively on your machine with API keys and code never leaving your hardware — no vendor lock-in. Native macOS/Linux hosts, iOS/Android and Web PWA clients, live sessions across devices, APNs/FCM push for task progress.
- Terminal rendering is built on the Ghostty engine with 120Hz GPU acceleration and tuned CJK typography.
