Interactive video model W1 costs $0.003 per second, making real-time AI video affordable

VivixLabs built W1 for real-time interactive video at 18 cents per minute ($0.003/second) without trading away speed or visual quality.
The argument: cost is the whole game for interactive video, since generation never stops while the experience runs. When generation was expensive, the math killed the format before it left the demo stage. Now video becomes a medium instead of a file — stories that wait for your input, games that rewrite themselves around you, creators shipping experiences rather than clips.
Limitations remain: dense scenes and complex motion still break the illusion, and full-scale training is underway.
