Claude's 5-hour quota window strands subagents mid-task; devs want reasoning to auto-resume
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-10-10
User @teortaxesTex complains that when Claude hits its quota, outcomes differ depending on whether agents have committed outputs, and wants Anthropic to resume even reasoning generation by default. Developer willcb explains this is an artifact of Anthropic's deliberate 5-hour utilization window leaving subagents stalled half-finished; trace logs remain resumable and rotating accounts works. He adds these recurring bugs stem from Anthropic being overeager to let Claude do everything.
