Roadie: open-source Go USB KVM gives AI agents hands via HTTP
hugs · x · 2026-10-10
Jason Huggins (@hugs), creator of Selenium, released Roadie, an open-source Go project described as "Roadie sets up your equipment" — a USB KVM (keyboard, video, mouse/multi-touch) controllable over HTTP.
Highlights:
- Combines a low-cost HDMI capture card with USB HID to expose a simple HTTP API for controlling physical devices.
- Demo scenarios include controlling an Android phone over USB with touch and keyboard, and automating a Mac Setup Assistant.
- Includes mDNS discovery, audio, HTTP video sources, grid-based control, a TOOLS.md for agent integration, MIT licensed.
A ready-made software-hardware bridge for anyone wiring AI agents to real devices.
