Pine Computer launches: a computer built for AI, publishing wins and losses on SaaS-Bench
HeyAmit_ · x · 2026-10-10
Stanley Wei's team launched Pine Computer (private beta, waitlist open), arguing AI is already smart enough—real-world tasks are slow, expensive and unreliable because we hand AI a human-built computer wrapped in heavy harnesses. AI needs a computer built for it.
Notably transparent launch: on SaaS-Bench v1.1, Pine AI Assistant posts the highest checkpoint score (78.3% vs 74.3% for Opus 5 with Claude Code) but completes fewer whole tasks (27.4% vs 31.1%).
