GPT-6 and Opus 5 beat Montezuma's Revenge, but Metaculus's AGI bet still isn't resolved

Ethan Mollick notes that GPT-6 Astra has beaten Montezuma's Revenge, and so has Opus 5 — a milestone many took as resolving Metaculus's 'weakly general AI' question launched in 2020, which hinged on a discontinued prize resembling a weak Turing Test.
But Metaculus says the question hasn't formally resolved: since the original criterion referenced a defunct prize, the platform is recreating the test to officially confirm whether the criteria are met. Mollick calls the move neat.
