Assistant Professor Jiafei Duan announced that MAGIC Lab (Manipulation and General Intelligence Control) at NUS School of Computing is recruiting postdocs, PhD students, research assistants and research engineers. Research spans MLLM reasoning, 3D vision, robot learning, simulation, dexterous manipulation and cross-embodiment learning, targeting real-world deployment of physical AI. Robotics experience is welcome but not required; two PhD openings this cycle. He highlights Singapore's robotics ecosystem: Google, Meta and NVIDIA doing research locally, startups like Unitree, Sharpa and Cortex AI setting up offices, and strong government backing via the National Robotics Programme.
