Tree-like procedural 3D data is hard for LLMs to learn — and data is scarce
keenanisalive · x · 2026-10-10
The author explains why LLMs struggle with procedural 3D modeling: the irregular, tree-like structure of such data is harder to learn than an SDF sampled on a regular grid, which resembles learning an image. On top of that, there's very little training data—very few artists model this way.
